Simple Jar with Hare Effigy. Southwest Georgia, Decatur and Early Counties. Reproduction of Pre – Columbian Pottery 200 – 1600 A.D. This beautiful Jar is sculptured from the local clays and is pit fired. The jar has cut-outs and is burnished around the hare’s body. The finished product looks like an original piece of pottery from the Pre – Columbian era. The artist specializes in this period, and his knowledge and passion show in his beautiful work. The height of the jar is 28.5cm. The diameter at the top of the jar is 29cm, the middle of the jar 45cm and the base of the jar 28.5cm. Signed by the artist, one of a kind. ONLY ONE AVAILABLE.
